Our laboratory is grateful for the support of organizations dedicated to advancing brain aneurysm research. These grants have enabled the development of innovative imaging approaches aimed at improving aneurysm risk assessment and understanding the biological mechanisms underlying aneurysm instability.

Brain Aneurysm Foundation (BAF)

Radiomic Characterization of Brain Aneurysms (2023)

Aim: To develop objective imaging biomarkers using advanced radiomic analysis for improved assessment of intracranial aneurysm behavior and rupture risk.

Aneurysm Wall Enhancement: Predicting Rupture and Diagnosis (2022)

Aim: To investigate aneurysm wall enhancement as a noninvasive marker of inflammation and instability, improving the diagnosis and risk stratification of intracranial aneurysms.

Brittany McCarthy Preventative Brain Aneurysm Research Grant
Radiomic-Histologic Correlation of Aneurysm Vessel Wall Biological Composition Using High-Resolution MRI in Ex-Vivo Circle of Willis (2025)

Aim: To correlate high-resolution MRI radiomic features with histologic characteristics of the aneurysm wall, with the goal of identifying imaging biomarkers associated with aneurysm instability and rupture risk.
